Beamery Signs EU AI Pact, Reinforcing Commitment To Ethical AI Practices
Beamery, the leading AI-powered talent platform, is proud to announce that it is one of the first signatories to the European Commission’s AI Pact. This voluntary pledge involves proactively applying the principles of the forthcoming AI Act ahead of its formal implementation.
By signing the Pact, companies commit to three key actions: developing an AI governance strategy, mapping high-risk AI systems, and fostering AI literacy. The Pact also aims to enhance collaboration between the EU AI Office and stakeholders from industry, civil society, and academia to ensure responsible AI development and deployment.
“We have been working with and deploying AI in the Beamery Platform for many years, and the capabilities we are able to offer our clients are transformational. Harnessing the power of the technology, and what it allows us to do with data, first and foremost requires an approach that focuses on embedding explainability, ethical practices, transparency and fairness into everything we do,” said Abakar Saidov, CEO of Beamery.
“Joining the AI Pact allows us to embrace the AI Act’s principles ahead of schedule, reinforcing our commitment to developing AI products that remain safe, and aligned with the values of our business and our customers.”
This pledge is part of Beamery's broader commitment to ethical AI and transparency, demonstrated by the update of the Beamery AI Explainability Statement in September 2024.
The statement provides clear explanations on how Beamery ensures transparency in its AI, and empowers users to understand how AI is deployed across its platform. It also outlines Beamery’s rigorous auditing process, established to avoid bias.
Commenting on Beamery’s wider engagement with AI policy, General Counsel Nicolette Nowak added, “We view the EU AI Pact as a critical step in aligning with the full requirements of the AI Act as we work collectively towards more ethical and responsible AI development. As a European unicorn, we are deeply committed to driving technological innovation that serves the public good, and by adopting the Pact, we reaffirm the values set out in our Explainability Statement.”
