Beamery Appoints Chief Impact Officer
Beamery reinforces commitment to social, cultural and environment issues
London, UK -- 7th February 2022 – Beamery, the leader in talent lifecycle management, today announced that Xavier Langlois, General Counsel, is extending his role and responsibilities at the company by way of promotion to Chief Legal & Impact Officer. The new position is effective immediately.
Created to ensure equal access to work, Beamery is also very focused on prioritising its own work on diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) and environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG). An important next step in the business to drive such priorities forward is the introduction of the Chief Impact Officer role which will enable the company to be more strategic in these crucial areas and make the business more accountable to ensuring progress, by reaching key milestones.
“Owning the change you seek is something that we actively encourage here,” said Abakar Saidov, Co-Founder and CEO at Beamery.
“For a company of our size, it is somewhat visionary to have a dedicated Chief Impact Officer, but we’ve always been driven by what we have the potential to become and prefer to lead from the front. Xavier identified the need for, and importance of, this role and we were delighted to support him and his team in taking this significant step forward for Beamery.”
Elements of the Chief Impact Officer role include measurement, management, reporting and improvement of social and environmental impact, identifying and promoting innovation and overseeing value delivered to stakeholders as well as ensuring projects are delivered consistently to the company’s vision and core values. Complementing its annual Fair HQ assessment, Beamery will also be immediately introducing a series of new initiatives such as a monthly Inclusion Collective and quarterly employee eNPS and ESI surveys, as well as launching its new Impact Manifesto and kicking-off its BCorp Certification - where a company is verified by B Lab to meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.
“My commitment to this role goes beyond being part of the LGBTQ+ community. It is deep rooted in my passion, and belief, that building a socially conscious business through ESG and EDI initiatives and outcomes is what will set companies apart when people consider who they want to work for and do business with.”
added Langlois. “I’m excited to get started, and with an awesome team alongside me, led by Sinead Daly, our Director of Experience and Impact, I look forward to seeing the positive impact we can all make.”
